Lets face it.... pesto could make cardboard taste good. This is great on shrimp, scallops, chicken, asparagus, broccoli... etc.
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves, packed
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup pine nuts or walnuts
- 4 medium sized garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Combine the basil, olive oil, pine nuts, and garlic in a blender. Blend until it is a nice puree.
DONE! So easy and it makes everything taste like a gourmet chef cooked it.
