Paleo "Cereal"

Made with Love by Jackie
Ingredients:
1/4 cup almonds
1/4 cup walnuts
1 tsp honey
1/8 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1/4-1/2 cup almond or coconut milk ( I have used and love both)

Directions:
Place the nuts in a Slap Chop or food processor and chop up finely--not too fine, you don't want it to be like flour.
Pour the chopped nuts into a bowl.
Sprinkle the coconut and honey on top.
Pour in the almond/coconut milk just enough so the mixture is covered. Stir with a spoon so that the honey dissolves and enjoy!

  2. I was thinking about adding some dried fruit to make it really resemble cereal. Any opinions on dried fruit? From what I know fat loss isn't a fan of dried fruit ...

  3. Found you guys through Jessica (Jackie's sis), whom I knew back in Pullman. As a family we have been transitioning over to gluten-free, low-GI, dairy free (for the adults at this point), and more raw goodness.

Thus far, I'm LOVING the recipes. Simple and even stuff that my kids will eat. Please keep up with the blog, as I'll definitely be following and adding recipes to my weekly menus!!
    Thank you!

  4. Hey guys! glad you like it!
    Electra:
As long as the fruit does not have any added sugars. But I also think fresh sliced banana would be great and also a small amount of fresh chopped apple.
I also think the fruit would be great but I didn't have any available when I created this recipe. Thats usually what happens. I start running out of groceries then have to start getting creative! LOL ;)

Great to have you both following!!
