How did I miss putting this up?!
This is one of my favorites!
Paleo Pizza Crust:
2 cup almond flour (or ground almonds)
2 egg
2 tsp olive oil
1 tsp sea salt
I added in garlic powder and italian seasonings to taste
Preheat oven to 400.
Beat egg then form dough with all ingredients.
Press onto a baking sheet and shape into a "pie" (sometimes I have to oil my hands with olive oil so the dough doesn't stick to me)
Bake for 15 minutes
Take out of the oven THEN:
Put a tomato paste or sauce (that has no sugar added and the only ingredient is tomatoes and natural spices- then you can season however you like with natural herbs/spices) on top and then top with your favorite toppings. (Cheese is NOT paleo) There are endless possibilities! Stick it the oven for another 3-4 min to warm everything up!
As you can see in this photo I used chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes and peppers- I cooked my chicken with italian seasoning.
Tonight I added Mrs Dash Italian Spice to the crust.
ReplyDeleteThen to the tomato paste I added: Sea salt, dill weed, chopped garlic, and onion powder.
I grilled chicken/garlic and placed that on top with big fresh slices of tomato and finished it off by sprinkling basil over the entire pizza....seriously amazing!
did you bake the crust by itself, then put the sauce/toppings on? if so, did you blast in the oven again after sauce/toppings were added?
ReplyDeleteJaq, I learned recently how to make the mother sauce tomato and it has no sugar in it. I can share the recipe with you if you'd like it.
ReplyDeleteYes I guess I should add that ;)
ReplyDeleteJonathon- yes, I make my own sauce with just tomoto paste and then add spices, but would love to hear yours too!!
